If it’s true that time (and tide) wait for no-one, it is especially true of Florida. The Sunshine State is in a constant state of upgrading and improvement, additions and expansions. Purely and simply, it is the most dynamic holiday destination in the world.
It is a refrain we have heard again and again over the years. “When is the right time to visit Florida?” If we had a penny for every time we’ve been asked, we would be around £23.57 richer.
Of course, it always helps to be ahead of the crowd in most instances, but it is especially true of the holiday world these days. Although last-minute deals aren’t totally a thing of the past, they are becoming scarcer and that means finding genuine bargains is a much tougher task.

This year has been a memorable one for Florida’s theme parks, with an absolutely dazzling array of new rides and attractions from Disney, Universal and Co. But hang on to your hats – 2020 is set to be just as impressive, if not more so.
For every big-city location in Florida there is a ‘hidden gem,’ an area that is an attraction in its own right, worth seeking out for an essential part of that city’s experience. This series introduces these delightful – and often historic – sections of the Sunshine State.
